I have a 2002 E320. Great car! I have noticed for the past two months a hissing sound comming from the vents. I took it to an Indy shop and they said it tested fine and found no leaks and no reson to charge it, but I am still getting the hissing sound and its loud.

A/C making a cracking noise alone with burnt odor from the vents
This is a 1997 E420. Shortly after turning on the air condition unit there was this craking noise coming from something rotating inside the compartment ( maybe the fan motor) alone with a very bad burnt odor. Imediately after this experince I turned the air condition off. Does anyone knows what is the problem?
